About This Hunger Games Novel Study Unit
This Hunger Games novel study unit gives middle school and high school ELA teachers a full 8-week plan for teaching Suzanne Collins’ dystopian novel. The unit covers the entire story of Katniss Everdeen, Peeta, and the tributes from District 12, with activities that help students engage in literary analysis, explore character development, and examine the major themes running throughout the book.
Students look at how the dystopian setting of the Capitol connects to real-world ideas about reality TV, media, and power.
